Ingredients

Cake
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix (15.25 ounces)
  • 1 box fudge brownie mix (18.3 ounces)
  • 4 large eggs room temperature
  • 1 1/4 cups water room temperature
  • 1 cup vegetable oil (218 g)
Ganache
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream (238 g)
  • 1 bag semi-sweet chocolate chips (12 ounces)

Equipment

  • Oven
  • Bundt Pan
  • Large bowl
  • Whisk
  • Cooling rack
  • Microwave-safe bowl

Method

Cake
  1. Preheat oven to 350°F and spray a 10-inch Bundt Pan with nonstick cooking spray.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together cake mix, brownie mix, eggs, water, and oil for 2 minutes until mostly smooth.
  3. Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan and bake for 50-55 minutes, until a toothpick inserted comes out with a few crumbs.
  4. Cool cake in pan for 10 minutes, then turn out onto a cooling rack and cool for another 30 minutes.
Ganache
  1. Heat whipping cream in a microwave-safe bowl for 45 seconds to 1 minute, until simmering.
  2. Pour chocolate chips into the boiling cream and let sit for 5 minutes.
  3. Whisk chocolate and cream until shiny and smooth, about 1 minute.
  4. Pour ganache over cooled cake and serve.

Notes

For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate chips in the ganache. Serve with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh berries for an extra touch.
